Should a client opt to provide their own Router it must be one of the MTN & Vodacom approved 5G devices listed below, please note that using a non-approved device will result in the service being blocked.

VODACOM Approved 5G Routers: TP Link MR600, ZTE MC801A, ZTE MF286R, ZTE MF286C1, Nokia Sharelink Fastmile 5G Gateway, Alcatel Linkhub HH72v 35678541, ZTE MC888D, HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro 2

This service is a Fixed location service which is only available on 5G/LTE Technology (excludes 3G and 2G technologies). The service is only available at pre-defined locations as provided by MTN & Vodacom. During the sign up process availability will be determined according to the address provided, this is due to service availability being limited per location/area in order to provide an optimal service experience. The SIM will be locked to the location provided at sign up, this location must also be the location where the first connection is made and cannot be used at another location. MTN & Vodacom will allow limited changes in location per year, please provide us with 30 days' notice thereof in order for us to submit the request timeously. Should the new location not be within MTN or Vodacom 5G/LTE Coverage the service will need to be cancelled. The standard calendar month’s notice cancellation policy and fees will
apply.

Yes, upgrades can be facilitated upon request to accounts@linkonline.co.za.
- Standard packages can upgrade & downgrade to any other Standard package.
- Premium packages with Free to use router can only upgrade & downgrade between LinkUltra & LinkUltra+ packages.
The service can be set to upgrade or downgrade at any time (before 1pm on the last day of each month) but the new service will only be effective from the 1st of the following month.

LinkOnline 5G/LTE packages can reach speeds up to 500mbps in ideal coverage locations. Each Uncapped package has it’s own Fair Usage Policy seen below:
LinkLite - Once 150GB FUP Limit is reached, speed will change to 0.5mbps until midnight of the last day of the month.
LinkPlus - Once 300GB FUP Limit is reached, speed will change to 0.5mbps until midnight of the last day of the month.
LinkAdvance - Once 450GB FUP Limit is reached, speed will change to 1mbps until midnight of the last day of the month.
LinkUltra - Once 600GB FUP Limit is reached, speed will change to 2mbps until midnight of the last day of the month.
LinkUltra+ - Once 1000GB FUP Limit is reached, speed will change to 2mbps until midnight of the last day of the month.

LinkOnline 5G/LTE speeds cannot be guaranteed as several factors affect speed and quality of the connection which include, but are not limited to distance, weather, and interference around and within the property. Speeds of up to 500mbps can be reached depending on coverage and network capacity.
The device used plays an important role in giving you a great speed experience, which is why we recommend buying your router from us.
Because of the nature of the wireless network, we cannot guarantee any minimum speeds on the service. Certain factors such as device placement and interference from man-made structures and obstructions, weather conditions and vegetation growth may prevent your router from connecting to 5G. In these instances, your device will fallback to 4G LTE-Advanced.

Upon signing up, LinkOnline will check coverage for your location. Our devices will connect to the 4G LTE-Advanced network where 5G is not yet available, still offering a fast wireless experience.
